4D3N BKK TRIP [ DAY 2 ]

DAY 2

We woke up at 1050am, which is a far cry from the original plan of waking up at 9am. Despite that, we still tried our best in rushing to start our day as early as we could. We ended up at siam paragon, and headed straight for Greyhound cafe. Jeannette ordered squid ink pasta with prawn and it tasted fantastic. The ingredients were super fresh and heavy on taste. She chose it at random and she just has such a way in choosing good food, especially those that we do not know much about.

After that, we went to the nearby siam centre to do some shopping. Things there are generally still more expensive compared to pratunam and thus we did not really buy much there.

Siam Centre also had this cafe called the hello kitty cafe. We ordered the coconut fresh cream cake and red milk tea. The food is rather on par so be prepared to be there just for the experience. On a side note, their background music is ridiculously kiddy... so ya be prepared guys!

After which, we headed to pratunam to shop for our clothing! We ended up getting most of our clothing there,. That was because Pratunam mall has seriously the cheapest clothing. We recommend really looking at the directory and organising your route. This helps to save time and leg muscle fatigue. Guys have only one level while girls have like the first three levels. Even for Jeannette with high expectation for her clothes, she was still able to get some so ya I believe it has something for everyone.:)

After that we went to yaowarat aka Bangkok's Chinatown! We found a really cheap foot and shoulders massage there for just 200 THB ($8) per hour. The foot massage was average, i don't really like foot massages anyway. However, the shoulder massage was seriously damn good and the best part of the massage.

Finally our highlight of the day had to be our T&K seafood!!! The seafood is slightly pricier than batam seafood, but it is still cheap. We ordered 2 oysters, one morning glory (awesome bangkok vegetables), one black pepper crab, one battered oyster omelette, one prawn with curry sauce and one grilled squid all for just 25 SGD each person. Our table could barely hold the food. Do come earlier as we reached there by 630pm and were able to get air conditioned seats. When we ended dour dinner at 745 - 8pm, there was a queue for tables literally at the road side! So its highly recommended that you reach there earlier.

Yaowarat night scene

After our hearty dinner, we decided to head to siam night market. Honestly, the stuff there are relatively cheap and has a wide variety so you must drop by if you are in BKK!

After Siam night market, we headed to the coconut ice cream near our hotel just to get the coconut ice cream. It was soon worth it.

JIZZZZ

Next up was Baiyoke sky hotel rooftop bar. Honestly, it is overhyped as the place was far from luxurious although it had a great view. Do head there if you are on budget! If not you can try cloud 49 if you are able to spend more.
